Bio

Kathryn “Kat” Green Barden graduated with a BA in French Literature from the University of the South. She has worked as immigration advisor for the University of Texas at Austin’s International Student Office, bookstore manager for Banana Republic in Austin, executive assistant for the vice president of sales of Mitsui Steel Co in Houston, executive assistant for Manufacturing for DeRoyal Industries, Director of Educational Ministries for a consortium in Eastern Kentucky, program specialist for Appalachia Regional Healthcare System-dept of education, and presently is Interim Head of Public Services at Reeves Library for Westminster College. Kat has a Masters from Eden Theological Seminary in ST. Louis, MO and is completing her MLS at University of Missouri this spring. Her area of research is cognitive information acquisition for individuals and subsequent contextual communities.
