Student Workers - Training, Evaluating, Retaining Partners in Information Literacy Instruction
Library student workers are an important part of the circulation and reference team. Their peers often find them more approachable than the library professional staff. How can you structure your student workers positions, select and train the students, evaluate their performance and knowledge, and retain workers from year to year? It is an ongoing process of refining and reflecting however, the Reeves Library staff uses 45 students workers to support the circulation and reference activities.
