Are you watching your circulation numbers? Don't be stuck in a protective defense waiting for patrons to increase your circulation numbers...don't hope that patrons will need/seek/find your reference services...don't bemoan decreased traffic and gate counts. Send programs, personnel, and projects out into the service community and meet patrons on their home court in a full court press.

Reeves Library no longer waits for patrons to enter the door; the library goes out into the campus community. Using thematic and programmatic integration the library meets patrons where they are through diverse resourcing options and marketing approaches that either instruct, promote the collection, or encourage inter-disciplinary thinking.

The theoretical basis for the approach is only half the battle, come "borrow" a game plan to use in your own library setting. How can your entire library circulate not just your books?

Thank you to everyone who attended the presentation. Everyone had such great ideas. Several folks asked for the slides and etc. so I have posted them here. Feel free to follow up with me if you have any questions.

Have a good summer!
