Federated Search Showdown
Although federated searching has been around for a while and users supposedly want their library research to function just like internet research; federated searching has many practical issues. This session will explore federated search engines, popular federated search interface Google Scholar and compare these to searching in database native interfaces. What will help patrons the most? What do patrons want to use? What are some federated searching barriers?
